3 Reasons Why I Get Back Into Blogging

It's been over 5 years since I stopped blogging. I've been busy and lazy during these years and I will kill myself for stopping a habit everyone wish to start doing now - blogging!

Here are my practical reasons why I suddenly decided to get back into blogging:

1. I am not getting any younger. When I get old, I want to look back at my younger years and this blog will definitely be something I can be proud of and will remind me of my good memories when I was young. Blogging serves as a personal journal.

2. To become a better thinker and a better writer. Writing is recording thoughts so blogging also pushes us to think deeper. English is my third language but I still chose English as my medium for blogging to practice writing in English. We will definitely notice day to day practice of blogging that our grammar and command in English language improves and the process of thinking a good topic and how to write it into a blog will definitely be easier in time. Blogging unleashes our creative thinking and writing.

3. To meet new people and inspire others. I know for sure I will blog about my outdoor experiences from now on and share my thoughts about the place, food, culture and people of a certain destination. Blogging will change my life and also this, in some way, will change the life of the reader. I am hoping that my blog post will become an inspiration to some and that is what this all about. To inspire others is the greatest feeling. People who are touched with your post, relate and had the same experience will eventually post their comments, send you email, follow you on social media and that is one way of meeting new people.

A Week of Blogging and Updates

It's exactly a week since I started this blog. I want to give myself a big smile for a well-done and blessed week. This blog is always updated and have a daily new post so hope you guys would have a glance each day for this blog. I already submitted this blog to TopofBlogs so that I would know if this will eventually hit some rank, yes I'm dreaming, among other blogs. I am not an Search Engine Optimization (SEO) expert but at least today, I've learn some simple things in order to increase the traffic and how to actually optimize one's site. I repeat, I don't have enough knowledge for SEO because I know its a broad field but at least I now have ideas about it. You may also try this site webconfs.com, shared to me by Miko, for SEO tutorial. Thanks Mikz for the information. The only problem I had so far is the absence of adsense in my blog. An email was sent to me by adsense approving my request but after few hours another email was sent to me regarding the disapproval of my application due to incorrect information during application. I resubmitted my application and made sure that all fields are correct. The adsense was up for three hours in my site. But it suddenly disappeared after three hours.

After so, another same email was sent to me and pointing again the same problem:
---------------------
We did not approve your application for the reasons listed below.

Issues:

- Account information incorrect or not provided

Further detail:

Postal address incorrect or not provided: We've found that the account
information provided on your application is incomplete or incorrect.
All applications must include a valid and complete address where you
can receive mail. It is important that this information is entered
correctly since payments will be issued to the payee name and checks
will be mailed to the address as listed on your application.
----------------------
I didn't supplied incorrect information nor leave empty field during the application process. This is really bothering me up to now, so if you guys know the reason behind this, please let yourself help me.

I am new on this blogging activity. All I know is that I can write some posts and touch the readers' hearts, open their minds and instill little knowledge. I am not a proficient technical writer but I just want to tell, tell, and tell things here.

Enough about this blog, I now want to tell you little by little everything about myself - at least something personal - in this blog. Yes, just to be fair right? Last payday, July 15, we received our paychecks and everyone was excited to know if an increase was added to our salary. For my almost three years of stay in the company, this is the third time I get an increase. You want to know how much I've got for this third increase? Not more than 500 bucks per payday! Three hundred eighty-five pesos exactly. I am still happy for this because there are many of also deserving teammates were not given. That was not fair. I don't know who to blame regarding the salary raise because the bosses are pointing to each other if asked who decided and what were the bases for that increase. I feel sad for these hard-working employees who at the end of the year don't have adjustments for their salary. But thanks again, God is Good! We still have jobs. If you've done the best of your better from good performance, then you don't have to worry about yourself. You have much more blessings ahead of you.

Before Clock Strikes Eleven

Before Clock Strikes Eleven

He is good in matching people
Making two hearts meet on time
To find each one comfortable
And friendship starts to shine

Happiness is indeed a choice
To pray is your own decision
These are from her angelic voice
To love, to live, and to learn on

As its hands continue beating
Stories are fast exchanging
Smile and cool jokes given
Before clock strikes eleven

Another day has passed
New facts and secrets revealed
I wish you now feel relieved
Before you close your eyes to bed

Today, tomorrow, and forever
We will always be the same to each other
Thank you for bringing me back to Him
Now, I love what I’m feeling

I’ll remember you each night
When clock strikes eleven
Join me smiling and singing
Before clock strikes eleven

This poem is one of my favorite poems I had written. I wrote this for a friend. She also published this in her blog. Hope you guys would like this simple poem.

Mylot: Making Money By Posting Into Forum

Mylot is a money making site wherein the member can participate in discussions. You may start a topic - anything under the sun - for discussion or give your comment, views or personal experiences regarding the topic of others. You can also post your original photos and earn an extra money. Mylot will pay you depending on the quality of your posts, relevant discussions, and number of uploaded valid images.

Mylot is legit. A friend of mine, Shie, received her payout through Union Bank EON Card after transferring her cash from mylot to paypal, and from PayPal to her personal EON Card. I am a member of this money making site since 2006. But due to lack of resources, I hardly got online so I just take some office’ time in order for me to have a quick mylot posts. I reached $6.43 (You have to accumulate a total of $10 before you may transfer your earnings to paypal.) for 441 discussions. That was something for me but I was unable to visit the site for 10 consecutive months and just now that I thought of going back and be active again when I see my earning dropped down to $0.00. This is really frustrating because I’ve planted seed to grow a tree in this money making site. Anyways, I am not blaming mylot for this because it is its right to make necessary action when a member is no more longer active for a very long time. Neither to blame myself.

Today, I am thinking if I would continue mylotting. I just felt sorry and disappointed. If you want to be a mylotter just sign up here and make sure not to do the same way I did. So goodluck, please read the FAQ and follow all rules. By the way, you can check myLot User Profile to see what happened to my account.

Mirinda / Orange / Passion Fruit

Last Friday - Mike and I, while going to Dong’s eatery for our linner (lunch and dinner combined into one), saw this variety of fruit we often talk about. I just remember that many of our friends don’t know that there is a fruit like this. Some are familiar but don’t know the local or English term for this. The fruit I am talking about, after research is called “Passion Fruit” or Passiflora edulis .
To my cravings for this bright yellow fruit, which is known in bikol as Mirinda or Orange, I stopped by the street and look for the seller of this passion fruit. Unfortunately, there is no one around the store. We waited for minutes and yet no one came to transact with. My bad I really crave for the nutritious passion fruit, known to be high in Vitamin C, A, fiber and potassium, so I ended up getting three pieces and left the basket with fifteen pesos. (It seemed to be an honesty store!) Lol, I don’t know if it’s the right price for what I’ve got. Mike and I are certain that in bikol, that fruit is just for free when you ask the owner. Hahaha. Sorry to whoever own that store. I’m planning to tell him/her about this as soon as I know who the seller is, and I’m going to give my balance if ever my payment was not right.

I really like the bittersweet flavor coming from Passion Fruit’s orange, juicy flesh. And to add the pungent aroma, this fruit will surely be everyone’s choice. While eating the seeds, I just reminisce my childhood memories when I was in grandmother’s place eating the same fruit. I never thought that I would see this kind here in Pasig City. Yummy!

Money Making: oDesk and My First Interview

I woke up past 10am this morning after five hours of sleep. I wanted to sleep long but my mind just kept on twirling and thinking. I can't sleep anymore. Here I go - to my laptop and checked my mails. I was surprised when I saw that I have an inbox in my odesk account. YES!, an invitation for an interview with the client. I got so excited to reply and hoping that I would get the position for his craiglist posting job. At last, my four days of applying in oDesk is worth it.

To mention, last night my friend and I turned down one of the job offers she got. It is also an ad posting job but it will not pays off well. We tried several postings and realized that $.1 per post is not a good pay for that task. It is time consuming. Another friend of mine also asked my help for her captcha job last night. Thanks to them because while waiting for my own oDesk job, I got to see and learn tasks that would possibly be my job also in oDesk.

By the way, if you are interested to be a service provider or client on oDesk, just click this banner:

What's with my blog name?

Here I go with my first blog. I don't think I can post regularly and not sure if this will go well but let me try this. Yes, I just want to be productive that's why I'm doing this. I am not into PC games for now, don't have any projects yet in money making online for now, and I just feel tired watching videos and streaming music on the internet. Therefore, this blog hopefully will make me busy on this world wide web.

Now, what's with the name 'Lighthouse Chap'? Let me tell you first about my origin. I used to be a naughty kid from Bacacay, Albay. It was my habit to go to the fishport during nighttime to watch the stars and the lighthouse beside the seawall. The air was so cold while sitting at the edge of the port with my childhood friends, some of them are waiting for their fathers to get back from sailing. It was the lighthouse that served as warning and guide for fishermen if they are going too far or if they are back near to their beloved town and family. With full of excitement and eagerness to see if these fishermen had a good catch, we used to help my friends' fathers on lifting their catch hooked on hand lines and some were on large containers.

I just miss that rural life. I miss my old friends and the feeling of being happy and contented by just staring at stars and the lighthouse. I miss the warm people, the fresh air, the simple living and a lot more behind the cheerful lighthouse.

This blog will be all about my life and let us all witness how this lighthouse motivated me even more in order to be a better chap.
